The Capela
Gregoriana Psalterium - all male choir - was founded in January 1999, with the
purpose of study, presentation and execution of the gregorian chant. Since
March 1999, date of the first public appearance, it has given many gregorian
chant and polyphonic recitals as well as participated in liturgical
celebrations (Mass). As an invited guest by the Brazilian Federal Government,
in October of 2000, participated at the Bazilian-Portuguese Gregorian Chant
Meeting. Participated, also, in the collective CD 'The Best Amature Choirs of
the Region' (vol. 20: Coimbra). Actually it has fourteen members and is settled
at the S. Joseph Church in Coimbra.
