Gregorian Chant is but singed prayer and also one the oldest eastern musical tradition. The chant was based in ancient liturgical Mediterranean tradition and was developed in the earliest centuries DC. The final development occurred during the first decades of the Carolingian Empire and the result was an esplandid mixture of Gallic and Roman traditions. The reborn of the chant, associated with it's modern academic research, took place in the XIX century.
